Who we are
Michel Instrumentos S.A was established as a family business in 1924 by Cayetano Michel Chambard, in the district of Gros, San Sebastian. It is a Public Limited Company or LLC since 1983. .
From its early beginnings, the firm was located in Gloria street, 2, where the firm specialized in the repair, measure and maintenance of water metering systems. With the expansion of the business into other fields of the industry and subsequent increase in its volume of sales, the firm relocated its headquarters to a new facility in Paseo de Colon, 42. This change in location was an idea put through by the acting director at the time, Mr. Michel’s son, Mario Michel de Andres. The new facilities were equipped with a technical repair room, offices, reception, and a storage room.
As of the year 2005, the business has relocated once again, this time settling in the industrial district of Belartza, (Gurutzegi Street, 11, Building 1-C), in the city of San Sebastian.
The current head of the family business is Mr. Jose Michel Rodriguez, 3rd generation operating the business.
